As part of the pilot project Science meets Art twelve scientists and artists working in their individual domains come together over a two-week period for an intensive collaborative project whose focus was on the process-like exchanges between their respective domains. The participants were devoted to a series of self-directed, time-related issues, using a variety of media and a wide range of approaches. In addition to the outcome of the ensuing projects, contrast and similarity were the focal points of this discourse.
The pilot project Science Meets Art was realised with the support of the Swiss Arts Council PRO HELVETIA. Science meets Art, Knowledge and Technology Transfer at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The co-ordinating team for the pilot project consisted of Ping Qiu, Kerstin Mey, Carola Muyser and Marianne Roth.
